GeoPost announces a consolidated turnover of 3.398 billion euros in 2010
Paris, 18th March 2010 - GeoPost, subsidiary of the French La Poste Group and a major player on the European market for express B to B services, generated a consolidated turnover figure of 3.398 billion euros in 2010, excluding exchange rate and perimeter variations, up by 7.3% compared to 2009.
On this highly competitive market, the impact of the 9.8% increase in volumes (mainly in Germany, the United Kingdom and France) was softened by an average negative price effect of -3.9%. In volume terms, 2010 saw GeoPost confirm its position as N°2 in Europe and N°1 on the French market with over 550 million parcels delivered worldwide on behalf of 300,000 customers.
